Bags of Fun, 2025 Game Night Gala
Every year Bags of Fun hosts a game night gala to raise money to provide Bags of Fun to children with life threatening illnesses to ease their struggles and bring some joy and fun into their life.
Every year is a new game theme and 2025’s theme was the board game Candy Land. I took inspiration from the game’s artistic style to create pieces for their event.
Initial Invite & Envelope
The first Invite set the tone for how the rest of the items for the gala would be designed. I took inspiration from the actual game to inform my decisions. I knew I had to incorporate the iconic colorful board spaces in somehow, and then I just tried to use small elements from the game to tie everything together.

Sponsorship Flyer
Prior to the event my client wanted a flyer that they could pass out to their sponsors and guests to make it easy to donate. Again, I continued the theme that was established in the invite.
Unused Design
The initial design I started with missed the mark a bit. First, they didn’t want the card to be vertical. They wanted to keep it horizontal like it was the previous year. Then the back of the card was a little too formal and didn’t fully incorporate the game’s visual language like the front does.
