Gallery 92 West Annual Gala
Every August, Gallery 92 West hosts its annual Fundraising Gala. This event celebrates the successes of the past year and raises funds to secure FAAA's ability to carry out its mission in the coming year. Guests enjoy food, drink, games and a unique selection of both live and silent auction items.
I was lucky enough to help them design some of the items for their 2024 Gala.
Invites & Reply Card
The theme as stated on the invited was a colorful transformation. The main artist that they wanted to highlight for the event was Lucy Arnold and some of her main pieces were of bugs and butterflies. I used her beautiful works to inform my designs for all the pieces. She had some pieces where she layered the bugs on top of a textured stone which gave me the idea to use the texture in the boxes.
Event items
Brochures
The Brochures held a ton of information within them. Sponsors, auction items and the back of the brochure was your auctions bidding number. It was a bit of a balancing act to make sure these brochures were visually interesting while having all the information they needed.
Informational Insert
This insert was made to fit in the center of the brochure. It held information for the event, and on the back information for the event and a review of everything accomplished in the year
Sponsor Sign
They needed a large foam core poster that displayed the event sponsor in a fashion. I altered what I did for the brochure to work on the sign.
Unused Items
There were a few Items I designed that did not end up being produced because they did not fit within the budget. Below are the initial designs for a Menu insert that would go inside the brochure, and a drink menu foam core.
When I initially was designing the menu I designed the tops so when stacked together the tops would appear to blend looking like one image block.
