Page County Fair Logo Design
Page County is a small county in Southwest Iowa. I was approached by the Page County Fair Board to design them a logo. They hold multiple different fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for the Page County Fair that is held every year at the end of July. The Board are a group of local volunteers that work together to accomplish this goal.
They wanted to have a logo designed for the fair and the fair board to revamp their image and to put on apparel to make them look professional during events. I used to be a 4-H participant who showed at the local county fair so I was happy when they chose me for the job.
Initial Logo Iterations
I was tasked originally with giving them 3 separate logo ideas. Since I used to be a member of their fair I had a pretty good idea of what look they would want. I was going for a rural aesthetic. For the Overall Design I wanted the word Page to be the main focus. Since multiple nearby counties also have a county fair, it didn’t make sense to highlight the county fair alone. Overall I wanted the word page to be able to stand alone.
Iteration 1
The first design I was inspired by western themed designs. Something akin to Levi’s.
Iteration 2
The Second design I was focused on the word Page. I chose cursive fonts to give it an older feel since the fair has been running for 100+ years now.
Iteration 3
The third design I was thinking of 4-H and Incorporated the 4-H Clover into the design. The box was inspired by old school sewn on name badges that you would see for blue collar workers.
Final Design
After some deliberation, they chose 2B for their logo. They had some slight modifications but they ultimately loved the style and how it looked as a whole. The main changes they had for me is they wanted one that would be just used for the fair and one they could use for the Fair Board. For the Fair Board logo they wanted it within the state of Iowa with a star indicating where the county is located.
Practical Usage
After I finished the design for them, I gave them the working files so they could use it for whatever they needed it for. Below are a few examples of how they used it this year 2026.
